Merlins Bridge is a village situated on the boundary of Haverfordwest. It has many sporting venues - the Haverfordwest Rugby Club is situated on the Pembroke Road, along with the Merlins Bridge Football Club (youth) and the Merlins Bridge Boxing Club, which is situated on the Milford Road. The village has two play areas, one being on the old Hakin Road and the larger being in the centre of the village off the Pembroke Road. Both have good amenities for the local children to enjoy.
The local Village Hall** and playing fields are the hub of village activities. Many clubs / societies come and use the hall on a weekly basis. The village also has a Primary School, numerous outlets and shops, hairdressers, a Post Office, various religious buildings and one of the biggest creameries in Wales. We like to think our village is a thriving community within the county of Pembrokeshire.
The local Community Council normally meets every second Wednesday of the month at the Welfare Hall at 1900hrs with the exception of July and August when no meetings are held. However, during the pandemic meetings are being held online using the Zoom platform until further notice. As a member of the community you would be welcome to attend. Minutes of all meetings are available to view and download from the documents tab opposite.
***Following government guidence MBCC have suspended all face to face meetings in the immediate future, this is being reviewed monthly. Also the annual audit of MBCC will be postponed until a future date, which will be published in due course***
**Please Note - the Village Hall is available for rent for parties, clubs etc. bookings are made via the Merlins Bridge Welfare Committee. The Community Council cannot book the hall out. Please contact the Welfare Committee via their Facebook page.
