Next Meeting of the Community Council - 7:30pm, first Tuesday of every month, in the Committee Room at the Village Hall

St Florence

Nestled along the banks of the river Ritec just 3 miles inland from the seaside resorts of Tenby and Manorbier Bay is the picturesque rural Flemish village of St Florence.

Home to approximately 800 residents and a past winner of the coveted Wales in Bloom trophy, the village contains many character cottages as well as boasting three of Pembrokeshire's biggest attractions; Manor House Wildlife Park (Anna's Welsh Zoo), Heatherton Activity Park and the Dinosaur Park. The award winning Bramley's Tea Rooms at Grandiflora Nursery can also be found here.

The village benefits from two welcoming hostelries, The Parsonage Inn an ideal family holiday pub & restaurant and The Sun Inn a traditional 18th century pub / restaurant and hub of the local farming community. Accommodation is available in the form of a small hotel, a Country House as well as numerous guesthouses and B&Bs. Alternatively, there are several camp sites and touring caravan parks close by as well as a self catering village.

St Florence Community Council normally comprises eight members who usually meet at 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held in the Committee Room of the Village Hall and members of the public are encouraged and welcome to attend.

The Village Hall and playing field also provides a venue for a number of local events, clubs and associations including Toddlers Group, Karate Club, Chloe Dance Class and the Tenby Camera Club. The hall is available for hire by organisations or by individuals for private functions.

Manor Wildlife Park, with 35 acres of parkland to walk through, there is plenty to see with reindeer, tapir, bison, zebra, camels, monkeys, meerkats and raccoons. Also play areas for children. It was bought by TV Changing Rooms presenter Anna Ryder Richardson in 2008. Her and her team have been working hard to change it into an "uncaged" wildlife attraction where traditional pens are replaced with walk-through areas

Heatherton Activity Park Heatherton World of Activities is a large Sport & Leisure attraction, offering a large array of fun & exciting activities that range from Go-Karts, Archery & Zorbing to Bumper Boats, Baseball and High Ropes. A mixture of Family Fun, Kids Adventure & Adrenaline pumping activities make for the perfect family day-out, with attractions for all ages.

The Dinosaur Park is a dinosaur theme park with 30 dinosaurs on a mile long trail with many indoor and outdoor attractions including activity centre and events programme such as fossil hunt, puppet show, pat-a-pet etc. Adventure playground with golf, trampolines, astra slide, off roaders, tractors etc and Dino's Play Den for younger children. There's a dinosaur-themed restaurant, a sun terrace café and snack bar too.

St Florence Community Council would like to extend their gratitude to local resident and artist Graham Hadlow for kind permission to use his art work depicting village views.
